October 08 Free Pattern Picture

I hope everyone enjoyed the KAL from the last few days!  As promised, here is a picture of the completed cloth.

Spider Dishcloth

Spider Dishcloth

In a couple of days I’ll be starting my Crazy Dishcloth Challenge.  I’ve been knitting every free minute and I do have several cloths ready to go, so at least I’ll be able to do one week of this challenge! LOL!  I also want to start another KAL in a week or so for the November Free pattern.  Thankfully, I have that one all ready to go.  It is test knitted and scanned and completely done, for once.  I think I’ll start that in about a week.  I’ll be sure to give you at least a few days’ notice.

October 08 Free Pattern KAL Day 1

Hello everyone!  I’m sorry I forgot to set up the posts to be automatically published super early in the morning with the KAL rows.  I’ll get my act together later on today and have the rest of them set up so all you early risers can have them at 5:00 am.

Also, another note before I post the rows:  I’ve had a several of you sign up for email notification for when I make posts (yay!).  Well, this is my very first post since putting that little gadget on the blog, so it’s a nice trial run.  If any of you do not get an email saying that I had posted and you somehow happen to notice this post at some point, please let me know that my subscribe plugin is not working properly.  That means that I’m an idiot and I’ve done something wrong.

Ok, here are the first nine rows for the KAL.  The recommended colors are brown or black, or green, gold or red.  I really don’t think pastels will look very good at all.

Measurements:  9 inches x 9 inches

Materials:

100% Cotton Yarn, Worsted Weight, 2.5 oz

Size US 7 (4.5 mm) knitting needles

Instructions:

Cast on 37 stitches.

Note:  Border stitches are in parentheses () at beginning and end of each row should you prefer to substitute a different border.

Row 1: K1, P1 across, ending with K1

Row 2: K1, P1 across, ending with K1

Row 3: K1, P1 across, ending with K1

Row 4: K1, P1 across, ending with K1

Row 5: K1, P1 across, ending with K1

Row 6: (K1, P1, K1, P1), K to last 4 sts., (P1, K1, P1, K1)

I hope everyone has enjoyed this month’s KAL and will check back around the 3rd week of August for the next one. In the meantime I might actually try to post on my knitting blog about, oh I don’t know, stuff I’m actually knitting.  This is turning into a KAL blog and if I’m not careful I might have to rename it, or my tag cloud will never recover.
